Transistor Film Weekly Workshops

Participants will learn all aspects of the filmmaking process from professional filmmakers, screen writers and actors and then apply the skills learnt to make short films and/or a short dramatic web series.

During term 1 we focused on screen writing, screen directing and producing. Participants  developed the outline of short films and worked together to create the outline of a web series.

In term 2 participants will work together to complete scripts for the web series and film these scripts throughout the term. Participants will also work as teams of three, Director, Producer and Writer, on the development of their short film ideas.

In Term 3 Participants will edit The Memes, create an online profile for the web series and then launch it for the entire world to see. There will be a special screening before it is put on YouTube. During the term particpants will  take master classes in equipment use,  and prepare to shoot their short films (hold auditions, get locations, props etc).

October School Holidays: Clarence City Council will host Film Greenhouse during which the participants short films will be shot.

In term 4 we will look at all aspects of post-production - including- sound design, music composition, editing and colour grading - applying these skills to their short films.
